Want to make a start on your will?
Making a Will is not about wealth it is about making sure that what you want to happen to your estate does happen. It gives you the opportunity to specify such things as who will administer your estate, who will care for your children and who will receive specific items of your property.
THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me
of
1.I hereby revoke all my former wills
2. I appoint my sons of and of
to be the executors and trustees of this my will (`my
trustees’)
3. I give the sum of five hundred pounds free of tax to each of my grandchildren living at my death and direct that if they are under 18 at the time of my death my trustees shall accept a receipt from their parents without any responsibility for seeing that the money is applied for their benefit
4. Subject to the payment of my debts funeral and testamentary expenses and the legacies in clause 3 above I give all my residuary
estate to my wife if she is living at my death
provided always that if she shall die before me or the gift to her shall fail for any other reason the following clauses shall take effect
5.Subject as set out in the previous clause I give all my residuary
estate to XYZ Cat Sanctuary of registered charity
no and direct that the receipt of the treasurer or
other apparently duly authorised officer thereof shall be a good discharge to my trustees
6.I wish to be buried after a Roman Catholic service and I authorise
my executors to pay for a headstone for my grave
